Lord help me to obey your will and listen to your voice so that I can live in your blessing, for your word says that you will bless those who are obedient and listen to you.

Give me an obedient heart so that you may bless me wherever I go. As I obey you, bless my children, my home, my food and my finances.

Proverbs 10:22 The blessing of the LORD makes a person rich, and he adds no sorrow with it.

Philippians 4:19 And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.

Spiritual Warfare Prayers (4)~A Prayer of Spiritual Identity

Thank you, Jesus, for dying for me. As a blood-bought child of God, I am a co-heir with Christ. My Father is the King and I am an adopted son/daughter of God.

Philippians 1:6  Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.

As a child of God, I am strong, holy and redeemed. The enemy no longer has any rights to me, he cannot touch me.

The blood of Jesus has cleansed me from all my sin, and I am no longer living under condemnation.

2 Corinthians 1:21-22 Now He who establishes us with you in Christ and anointed us is God,  who also sealed us and gave us the Spirit in our hearts as a pledge.

Spiritual Warfare Prayers (3)~A Prayer of Gratitude to Bring Joy

Thank you, Lord, for another day. Help me to have a spirit of gratitude for all that you do for me. Thank you for health, a home, food on my table and friends and family. Thank you for salvation, for freedom from sin.

I give you thanks and praise for sending your son to die on the cross so I could live in you and have eternal life. The joy of the Lord is my strength; help me to walk in that strength.

Help me to share the joy of the Lord with others around me so they will draw near to you. Amen!

Spiritual Warfare Prayers (2)~A Prayer for Putting on Spiritual Armor

Ephesians 6:11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil.

Father God, I ask you to help me put on the spiritual armor that will protect me from harm and help me stand before the enemy. Help me to tie the belt of truth around my waist, and protect my heart with the breastplate of righteousness.

Ephesians 6:12 – For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.

Let me place upon my feet the preparation of the gospel of peace, so that I can share the good news with others and help me hold in my hands the shield of faith that can put out the flaming darts of the wicked one.

Protect my mind from ungodly thoughts with the helmet of salvation. Arm me with the sword of the Spirit, which is the living word of God. In Jesus name I pray, Amen!

Spiritual warfare prayers (1)- A Prayer of Protection and Covering

Lord, as I begin my day, I pray that You would fill me with Your Holy Spirit. Cover me with your protecting wings and keep me safe from harm and spiritual attacks.

Isaiah 54:17 No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is from Me,” says the Lord.

Help me to speak only the words you would have me speak, do only the things you would have me do, and think only the thoughts you would have me think that I may please you.

Help me to be a reflection of you so others will seek you as well. In Jesus name, Amen!

Deuteronomy 31:6 Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.

My Work life Prayer

Lord Jesus, as I enter this workplace

I bring your presence with me.

I speak your peace, your grace, and your perfect order into the atmosphere of this office.

I acknowledge your lordship over all that will be spoken, thought, decided, and accomplished within these walls.

Lord Jesus, I thank you for the gifts you have deposited in me. I do not take them lightly, but commit to using them responsibly and well.

Give me a fresh supply of truth and beauty on which to draw as I do my job. Anoint my creativity, my ideas, my energy, so that even my smallest task may bring you honor.

Lord, when I am confused, guide me.  When I am weary, energize me.

Lord, when I am burned out, infuse me with the light of your Holy Spirit.

May the work that I do and the way I do it bring hope, life, and courage to all that I come in contact with today.

And, Oh Lord, even in this day’s most stressful moment, may I rest in you.

23rd Psalm for the Workplace

The Lord is my boss, and I shall not want.  He gives me peace, when chaos is all around me.  He gently reminds me to pray and do all things without murmuring and complaining.

He reminds me that He is my source and not my job.  He restores my sanity every day and guides my decisions, that I might honor Him in all that I do.

Even though I face absurd amounts of emails, system crashes, unrealistic deadlines, budget cutbacks, gossiping coworkers, discriminating supervisors, and an aging body that doesn’t cooperate every morning, I still will not stop, for He is with me!

His presence, His peace, and His power will see me through.  He raises me up, even when they fail to promote me.  He claims me as His own, even when the company threatens to let me go.

His faithfulness and love are better than any bonus check.  And, when it is all said and done, I’ll be working for Him a whole lot longer - and for that, I BLESS HIS NAME, Amen!!
